Linying has over 20 years of language teaching experience.  Prior to completing her Master degree in Education at Nottingham University in 2000, Linying taught English to undergraduates at Northwest University in Xi’an China. Upon completing her MA degree in the UK, she started teaching Chinese and leading the  Chinese department at a secondary school in London for 16 years. She has delivered many workshops on Chinese teaching methodologies to Chinese teachers in the UK at difference educational conferences such as the UCL Chinese conference, UKFCS and ALL conferences. She is the co-author of two Chinese textbooks: Edexcel Chinese for AS and  Edexcel GCSE Chinese.  She is currently working as a Mandarin Consultant at Harris Federation. Her main interests include assessment, teaching methodology and educational research.
